C-Quest Capital Project Portfolio

CQC has an origination strategy that targets carbon-rich, environmentally sound and high-deliverability projects in the U.S., Australia and the developing world. Our focus on quality leads us to renewable energy, energy efficiency, agricultural carbon and forestry projects that have economic, social and developmental benefits for counterparties, partners, communities and the environment. As we grow our carbon offset investments, we are not only expanding into the innovative field of programmatic CDM structures, but are seeking to develop a portfolio of small-scale projects in least-developed countries and sub-Saharan Africa. CQC’s objective is to own and manage a diverse portfolio of high quality carbon assets that will retain compliance value in emerging U.S. and international regulatory regimes.

CQC’s staff has extensive knowledge of carbon and energy markets, project operations, in-the-field deal execution and project-focused diligence of carbon assets. Our team includes numerous professionals with industry-leading experience in the carbon origination business, all coming to CQC from prestigious institutions in the public and private sectors worldwide.

CQC originates and manages projects for both regulatory and voluntary markets. Internationally, we develop compliance-grade projects through the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the Kyoto Protocol, and have experience with energy efficiency, small- and medium-scale renewables, biomethanization, solid and water waste management and forestry land management projects. The majority of our certified emission reductions (CERs) come from projects in the Indian subcontinent, sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America. In anticipation of a cap-and-trade regime in the U.S., we are expanding our portfolio of U.S.-based projects in areas such as forestry, soil carbon and other agriculture-based carbon, coal mine methane, fugitive gas capture, energy efficiency and renewable energy.

Our portfolio of voluntary assets complies with standards such as the Voluntary Carbon Standard (VCS) and the Gold Standard internationally, and the Climate Action Reserve (CAR) domestically.
