The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.
Rigorous validation and verification through VCS and SD VISta.
CQC’s projects are rigorously assessed against the SD VISta program framework, which requires project registration under SD VISta methodology, extensive project documentation separate from VCU documentation, 3rd party validation, and parallel verification of SDG outcomes for carbon credit verification and issuance.
These steps result in confirmation of the sustainable development benefits advanced through our project-based activities. With the SDG achievements, the SD VISta label issued by Verra is attached to the VCUs from the underlying carbon project.
The verified SDG label (one for each SDG achieved) will be linked to the underlying project and attached permanently to each VCU upon issuance.
